Martin Gillo
As network partner of Trompenaars Hampden-Turner, Dr. Martin Gillo advises
clients how to achieve post-merger cultural integration by reconciling
conflicting values and implementing them successfully through reconciling
strategies.
Martin served the German State of Saxony as Minister for Economic Affairs,
Labor and Transportation from 2002 to 2004.
He worked for the semiconductor manufacturer Advanced Micro Devices (AMD)
in the US, Switzerland and Germany. This includes his role from 1996 to
2002 as Geschäftsführer (Managing Director) of AMD Saxony Manufacturing
in Dresden. The company's successful approach was described in 2002 by
Fons Trompenaars and Charles Hampden Turner in their book "21 Leaders
for the 21st Century".
For six years, Martin was management consultant for Hay Associates on
organizational effectiveness, leadership excellence, organizational planning
and remuneration. His work experience includes serving as Research Assistant
Professor for Organizational Psychology at the University of Washington,
Seattle, Washington, USA.
He is Lecturer at the Economics Department of the Technical University
Mining Academy (Bergkademie) Freiberg (Germany) His 2005 book "Go
Deutschland, Go" (Murmann Verlag Hamburg) is a passionate invitation
to organizations in Germany to tap into their full human potential. In
2004, he co-authored with Charles Hampden-Turner the report: "Sachsen
2025, Options for a brighter Future", demonstrating how scenario
planning can help politics to address long-term societal issues.
Martin's recent clients include the Equens Corporation, Linde AG, Siemens
AG and the Unicredit Group.
