Allard Everts
Allard Everts is a Dutch national who graduated in 1971 from the Technical
University in Delft with a Masters degree in Mining Engineering. He has
worked in a variety of industries and fields, starting off in R&D,
then project evaluation and planning, business development, job creation,
institution building and now cross-cultural management. He joined Trompenaars
Hampden-Turner in 1998 and focuses on assisting organizations to improve
performance by better honoring and engaging the human factor.
Allard started his varied career with several years in the dredging industry,
of which one in France and then moved to the diversification department
of the national Dutch steel company with responsibility for the techno-economic
side of mining investments. He also was the planning manager of a new
coal mine in Australia and established a public private partnership (PPP)
for the delivery of consulting services to the mining industry. In 1988,
enjoying the complexity of public-private activities, he moved to a company
specialized in creating PPP’s supplying management assistance to
small companies. Over a 5-year period he established three partnerships
that ultimately assisted over a hundred small and medium sized enterprises.
In 1993 he joined KPMG and managed assignments in Eastern Europe regarding
the establishment of consulting advisory services, restructuring, business
development and technology brokerage. Seven years ago he moved to Trompenaars
Hampden-Turner (then a subsidiary of KPMG) to help develop consulting
activities in the field of ‘culture for business improvement’.
Allard has always worked in the international arena and lived in France
and Australia. He speaks Dutch, English and German fluently, has a good
command of French and some knowledge of Polish.
His special expertise is in assisting leadership to establish and embed
the organizations vision and values in behaviors, systems and procedures.
